Fucked Up brought their hardcore energy to District and weren’t in the mood for taking prisoners.
Depleted somewhat by positive Covid tests, this was a bit of a makeshift Fucked Up at District. Not that it really showed – Damian Abraham was on superb form as he screamed and contorted his way around the set for a blistering hour and a bit.
The carnage and mayhem of previous Liverpool visits wasn’t quite there, but given this was one of at least 4 big name gigs in town last night, the turn out was impressive and the enthusiasm was all present and correct.
Supported by the mostly low key soul from Tuka, but which got heavier as the set went on, and the fantastic ska / reggae infused feel good from Sacred Paws this was a line up of contrasting styles, but not compromising on quality.
