A cracking four band line up, with no filler made for a hedonistic Sunday evening at Future Yard
Future Yard brought Japanese pop/punk outfit Tricot to Birkenhead to top the bill of an impeccable line up.
P3dro faves TV Face kicked off the proceedings at a perhaps unenviable 7.30 slot, but the band weren’t phased and, to be fair, the room was decently more than half full even by then.
Followed by Real Terms and Unstoppable Sweeties Show – another band that can do no wrong in our eyes, with their unconventional take on a rock / jazz crossover, led by Ya Sh’s squealing vocals. This was already a good night.
And then it was time for Tricot, for whom it seemed the majority of the audience had been waiting patiently all evening. And they didn’t disappoint. Powerful, edgy and they appeared to e loving every minute. Well worth the trip from Japan, we think.
Once again, Future Yard punches well above its weight.
