Bobhowla finally got to launch their album, Everything’s Wrong, But It’s Alright and it was a magnificent evening. It took a while to get there.

It was an album launch that kind of stuttered rather than blasted away.

It had been beset by obvious problems, not least Covid and a global vinyl shortage. We thought we’d got there a couple of weeks ago, but a dry ice machine fucking with the fire alarm proved a step too far and yet again there was another cancelled gig.

So, not ideal and a Monday night saw a fair crowd. But for the ones who did make the trip to Jimmy’s were rewarded with a demonstration of just how good Bobhowla are. Make no mistake, these are a class act.

With a superb supporting line up from Baron Farg on the decks and John Witherspoon doing what he does so well, it was a Monday night way better than it had any right to be.
