Wendy James proved (if there was any doubt) she still has the character and attitude at Jimmy’s in Liverpool.

This one had a difficult history. Originally scheduled for June last year and then postponed a number of times.

But finally we got to see The Wendy James Band in Liverpool last night. Plugging the recent album Queen High Straight and the brand in general, this was a demonstration that many years after your teenage crush and Transvision Vamp had faded, Wendy James still has the moves and the tunes. She demands attention. And deserves it.

With Liverpool band SKIA providing the warm up with a pop / soul set, this was a classy way to spend a Friday.
